Description: |
|
Celtic harps offer a portable and refreshing
entertainment for all sorts of gatherings including
weddings, receptions and large events. Besides just
playing private events for over ten years I also
play venues like the Knitting Factory, Caesar’s Place in
Atlantic City, Tonic and tour nationally with
my electric harp and tabla (Indian drums) duo Jah-La.
Just this year I had the honor of playing with the
National Shakespeares Company's tour of Greece of
the Oedipus Cycle which played at the Acropolis. Besides
playing I also sing traditional folk songs
and don’t mind learning songs for your occasion! |

If you are thinking bigger than just solo harp I also
play with viola, flute or cello! For a bit livelier
event I highly recommend having hand drums as well as
harp! |

Biography: |
|
I started my professional career studying with Ms.
Chalifoux at the Peabody Conservatory. My classical
training includes a BFA from the University of Austin,
Austin TX, and an MFA from California Institute of the
Arts in Valencia, CA and placing in American Harp
Society and Concerto competitions.
While at CALARTS I started studying jazz and ethnic
music which lead to performances with Roscoe Michelle,
Charlie Hayden, Baikida Carol, Butch Morris, Dan Morris
and Amiyo Dasgupta. I have toured with my own
singer/songwriter group and have been a featured
performer on NPR radio, Japanese Television and many
multimedia events around NYC.
My diverse background helps me provide an up beat
rhythmical set that has all the class and elegance that
harp offers with more of a "swing". I cater each event
to the individual needs of the client.
I have been playing weddings, parties, and events for
over ten years. |
