Dr. Lizary Rodriguez is a professional harpist and
teacher based in the Boston area. She has more than 15
years of performing experience at world-renowned resorts
such as The Caribe Hilton, Ventana Canyon and Hacienda
del Sol. |

Biography: |
|
Described by reviewers as "an elegant artist" and a
"delight for mind, heart and spirit", Puerto Rican harpist Lizary
Rodríguez Ríos has been a prize winner in four
international harp competitions in France, Italy and
Spain. With degrees from the Music Conservatory in
Puerto Rico, The University of Arizona and the Royal
Conservatory in Madrid, Spain, she holds a Doctorate in
Musical Arts. She has the distinction of being the
first Puerto Rican harpist to earn a doctoral degree in
music.

Ms. Rodríguez Ríos has performed at numerous venues and
festivals in Puerto Rico, including the prestigious
Casals Festival. She has toured as a soloist and
composer/arranger with the internationally acclaimed,
Grammy nominated harp ensemble, HarpFusion for several
years. Her performances with this ensemble, as well as
her arrangements and compositions, have been
enthusiastically received in The Czech Republic,
Indonesia, Russia, Switzerland, Spain and Mexico. |

Ms. Rodríguez Ríos released her debut album in 2006,
entitled Harp Voyage and received favorable reviews from
prestigious classical music magazines such as the
"Classical Source" in London, "La Scena Musicale" in
Québec and "Fanfare Magazine"
in New Jersey. Recently, Lizary released her second
album "Harp Therapy" which is used widely and
respected by many including therapists, counselors, schools, treatment centers, and people interested in
their own inner peace. Both CDs are available at
