lively harp music for weddings, cocktail parties and
special events. A graduate of Bedside Harp, with a
certification in Hospital-Certified Master Harp
Therapist, Laura also plays soothing, therapeutic harp
music for hospitals and nursing homes, lifting the
spirits of patients, visitors and staff members in need
of comfort. |

Biography: |
|
"I fell in love with the harp
in 1993 after seeing a performance at a Ren Faire. I
began taking lessons and was pleasantly surprised at how
quickly I could pick up various tunes by ear. It
definitely helped that I had 9 years of piano lessons
under my belt. In 1998, a friend encouraged me to play
for an elegant coffee & dessert café, which lead to
wedding gigs and dinner parties. I attended the Somerset
Folk Harp festival and was blown away by the number of
workshops and the rock stars of the harp community. I
learned that there are no limitations, you can play just
about anything on the harp, and I began to add jazz, pop
and show tunes to my repertoire." |
