Emily John resides in the New York City area where she is a freelance harpist and has a private studio of harp, piano and voice students.

She received her bachelor of music education degree from the Eastman School of Music where she studied harp with Kathleen Bride.

In addition to her experience as a harpist she conducts children's choirs (Amadeus Chorale, Rochester NY, CPSM at Queens College, Queens NY). Emily is featured on two recordings of the Amadeus Chorale as both harpist and conductor.

Emily is a versatile performer, adaptable to all situations from formal to fun. Her repertoire choices are vast and she is always willing to learn new music for events.

As an educator, Emily offers special programs for schools, libraries and other educational organizations.
