"I have had the opportunity to hear Catherine Barrett on
two occasions- once during a performance of Mahler's 2nd
Symphony and once during a home performance. Her playing
was exquisite. She plays with great feeling, from
classical to contemporary. Hearing her is like listening
to an angel before the throne of God." |

"Thank you very much for the beautiful music- adding
that 'special touch' at the brunch." |

"... The more difficult task of the harpist is creating
the illusion of legato line and lyrical melody from
sound that begins to die the moment a string is plucked.
Ms. Barrett did that impressively, It was easy to be
caught up by the way she made Ginastera's exotic,
driving rhythms dance. It was far more rewarding to hear
how well she provided subtle shape and shadings in his
evocative, expressive music." |
