Barbara’s college training is in classical music. In successive years she has expanded her repertoire to include pop and light jazz. Twenty-three years of professional playing have rendered her style diverse enough to satisfy almost any request. The uniqueness of her talent in addition to her extensive musical background makes for a performance that truly enhances any setting. She adapts her music effortlessly in many venues including weddings, restaurant work, churches, and private parties to name a few. Both aurally and visually she is a considerable asset.

Barbara discovered a love for music at the age of 8 when she began to play the piano. However, she found her true love when she started studying the harp at 13. She was awarded a scholarship to the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts in the summer of 1978. After attending the Philadelphia College of Performing Arts, where she studied under Margarita Montonaro, she was hired to perform nightly at the Franklin Plaza Hotel in Philadelphia. While in Philadelphia she also had appearances at major venues including the Academy of Music Ballroom and the Bellevue Stratford Hotel. During this time as well, she played with several area orchestras including the Lansdale Symphony and the Rowan Community College Orchestra. Subsequently, she performed internationally at the Caribe Hilton Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Since then she has spent the past 21 years performing in some of the most highly acclaimed gourmet casino restaurants in Atlantic City. Her longest engagement was at the Claridge Casino Hotel for 18 years and then at Caesar’s for 3 years. She presently performs weekly for Sunday Brunch at Bally’s Casino Hotel. In addition, Barbara freelances at least twice a month at weddings and other private functions
